Planner Keyboard Shortcuts

General Shortcuts

  • Alt + Up, Alt + Down: Scroll vertically through the entire planner.
  • Alt + Left, Alt + Right: Scroll horizontally through the entire planner.
  • Ctrl + Z: Undo the last action you performed.
  • Ctrl + R: Redo the last action you undid.

Header Cells Navigation

  • Left, Right: Move horizontally between column headers.
  • Home: Jump directly to the first column header.
  • End: Jump directly to the last column header.
  • Down: Move from the headers down to the task rows.

Task Rows Navigation and Actions

  • Up, Down: Move vertically between tasks.
  • Page Up: Jump to the very first task in the list.
  • Page Down: Jump to the very last task in the list.
  • Space: Select a task and start editing its value.
  • Ctrl + Enter: Create a new task.
  • Ctrl + Left, Shift + Up: Collapse all child tasks under the current task.
  • Ctrl + Right, Shift + Down: Expand all child tasks under the current task.
  • Shift + Left, Shift + Alt + Left: Outdent the current task, moving it up a level.
  • Shift + Right, Shift + Alt + Right: Indent the current task, making it a child of the task above.
  • Shift + Click: Select multiple tasks in a range.
  • Ctrl + Click: Select multiple tasks individually.
  • Ctrl + C: Copy the selection of cell(s).
  • Ctrl + V: Paste the copied cell(s).
  • Shift + Alt + Up: Move the selected task up in the list.
  • Shift + Alt + Down: Move the selected task down in the list.

Task Cells Navigation and Editing

  • Up, Down: Navigate vertically between cells within a task.
  • Left, Right: Navigate horizontally between cells within a task.
  • Enter: Start editing the selected cell’s value or, if already editing, confirm the new value and move to the next row.
  • Any character or number key: Start editing the cell value.
  • Escape: Cancel editing without saving changes.
  • Tab: Save changes to the current cell and start editing the next cell.
  • Shift + Tab: Save changes to the current cell and start editing the previous cell.
  • Delete: Clear the current cell’s value and start editing.

Gantt Chart Navigation

  • Shift + Scroll: Scroll the Gantt chart horizontally.

Special Considerations

  • Manual Save Mode: In this mode, you can copy and paste tasks with their hierarchy intact, preserving the structure and any child tasks associated with the copied task.
  • Auto Save Mode: Copying and pasting tasks with their hierarchy intact is not supported in this mode. Tasks will need to be managed individually.
